Managing Partner and Founder
Diane has over 40 years experience, in both private and public sectors of the business world as a corporate controller. She is well-versed in managerial accounting, financial accounting and taxation. She has obtained the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation and is enrolled to practice before IRS, allowing her to represent her clients before all levels of IRS. She earned her EA designation in IRS Representation in 2006 and her NTPI (National Tax Practice Institute) Fellow in August 2013. Both the Enrolled Agent designation and NTPI Fellowship allows Diane to assure her clients she has the necessary up-to-date tax knowledge and experience when dealing with IRS problem resolution. Through maintaining knowledge of current tax laws she is able to provide effective tax planning and preparation, both business and individual. Her continuing professional education requirements in order to maintain her Enrolled Agent license allows her to stay abreast of current tax law.
She is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor since 2003, which allows her to better serve her QuickBooks clients’ needs, both onsite as well as remotely using the most current technology. Diane is well-known in the accounting and tax community and has conducted QuickBooks training seminars, as well as teaching assignments in the undergraduate taxation department as a substitute instructor at KSU.
Diane received her B.B.A. in Accounting and her Master of Accounting, with a Concentration in Taxation at Kennesaw State University (KSU), in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Diane’s integrity is steadfast. She has designed many accounting systems that were Sarbanes Oxley compliant long before Sarbanes Oxley existed; doing so by implementing internal controls with checks and balances backed up by enforcement through spot-checks and mini-audits. Implementing controls such as these minimize the risk of fraudulent activities.
Diane is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Towne Lake Business Association (TLBA) and Marietta Business Association (MBA). Diane resides in Woodstock, Georgia since 1999 with her husband Dave. Together they have three grown children and six granddaughters.
Dave offers his engineer expertise to Accounting Connections, LLC. Dave has been a member of IEEE over 40 years. Dave has designed the company Local Area Network (LAN) and maintains the necessary firewalls and security systems critical to our firm. His responsibilities also include maintaining Accounting Connections’ IT department. With the constant changes in technology it is comforting to know the company has an experienced person, well-versed in both software and hardware installations. Having a strong network setup, taking advantage of today’s technology and having an experienced person such as Dave maintaining the company’s computer network, allows Accounting Connections to better serve their customers needs.
